Iconio puts the spotlight on the extremely rare Greek grape variety Koniariko, which has been cultivated in the Serres region for over a century. This grape variety, which has been preserved by a handful of passionate winemakers, produces a wine with a strong personality. Thanks to an extremely rigorous selection process, extended aging in oak barrels, and more than seven years of bottle aging before the wine is released, Iconio offers remarkable depth and complexity.

Vinification
Each berry is carefully hand-selected before vinification. Fermentation takes place in new 225-liter open barrels. The wine is then aged for eighteen months in barrels before being bottled unfiltered. Finally, it undergoes a long aging process of more than seven years in the bottle before being released, allowing it to develop remarkable complexity and perfect harmony.

Food pairing
Perfect with grilled beef cuts, game, and aged hard cheeses such as Graviera.
