Robola
Robola (pronounced Ro-BOH-lah) is a noble white grape variety native to Kefalonia, renowned for its freshness, mineral character, and refined elegance.
Mainly grown on the steep terraces with limestone-rich soils of the Aenos massif, it gives its name to the Robola of Kefalonia PDO, the only Greek appellation for dry wines that bears the name of a grape variety rather than a region. Its wines reflect the island’s unique terroir, historically celebrated by the Venetians as “vino di sasso” (“stone wine”).
