Moschomavro
Moschomavro (pronounced Mos-kho-MAH-vro) is a highly aromatic red grape variety grown almost exclusively in the mountainous region of Siatista in Western Macedonia. Despite its name, which means “black muscat,” it is not related to the white muscat grape variety.
Known for its medium to high acidity and soft tannins, Moschomavro is traditionally used to add fruitiness and balance when blended with Xinomavro, enhancing the structure, elegance, and aromatic complexity of regional wines.
