Born in the high-altitude vineyards of the Peloponnese, the ALTITUDE range embraces the quality that can be achieved in cooler climates. The ALTITUDE red is proof of this, combining the charismatic Agiorgitiko with the expressive Syrah and elegant Merlot from the same distinguished regions as our rosé. This easy-going red, produced in stainless steel, has a bright ruby color, appealing freshness, and fine, well-integrated tannins. The longevity inherent in high-altitude fruit contributes to making this wine an immediate pleasure.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red with attractive highlights. Bright tart cherry aromas are the first to emerge, followed by cherry, plum, and a hint of spice. The palate is smooth, with velvety tannins and refreshing acidity, leading to a pleasant finish. For optimal enjoyment, this fun Greek red should be served chilled. Its light, juicy nature, combined with a delicious crispness, makes it a wine to savor.

Vinification

The optimal harvest time for each variety is determined by phenolic and technical ripeness. After manual harvesting, the grapes are selected on the sorting table, then individually cold soaked at 46-46°F for a period of 3 to 5 days, depending on the grape variety. The vinification process takes place in stainless steel vats at a temperature between 20 and 23°C. After fermentation is complete, the wine remains on the fine lees for 60 to 80 days to obtain more volume.

Food pairing

A balanced and fruity red wine, ideal for hamburgers, barbecues, pasta with red sauce, and a wide variety of cheeses. It can also be enjoyed on its own.
