Retsina is Greece’s most versatile wine, commonly served at family meals. However, it requires special skills on the part of the winemaker to take it to another level. Made from Savatiano and Roditis grapes, this wine gloriously perpetuates an ancient Greek winemaking tradition dating back thousands of years.

Tasting Notes
Aromas of lemon, stone fruit, ginger, herbs, and spices on the nose. A thick palate combined with a full-bodied yet refined and utterly delicious body offers a unique taste. The pine resin infused at the start of fermentation does not steal the show, as it blends perfectly with the wine. Typically Greek!

Vinification
Grapes are harvested by hand at night and transported to our winery in small crates. Classic vinification of white wines in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Adding a small amount of pine resin to the must during fermentation gives the wine its unique taste. The power of fermentation dissolves the resin and gives the wine its characteristic flavor. Bâtonnage for 6 months.
