An evening of Greek wine, food, and philoxenia in the heart of Brussels.
Join us at idea. restaurant for an intimate winemaker’s dinner in collaboration with Andromachi Selection, featuring Acra Winery — the new rising star of Nemea, one of Greece’s most ancient and storied wine regions.
🏛️ Meet the Winemakers
Brothers Spiros and Dimitris Papandreou, founders of Acra Winery, bring the vibrant new energy of Greek winemaking to Brussels.
Founded in 2021, Acra (meaning extreme in Greek) reflects a philosophy of honest, organic, and minimal-intervention wines that express both grape and land. Rooted in the terroir of Nemea, the heart of Peloponnesian red wine — a region whose name echoes through mythology as the land of the Lion of Nemea, the first labor of Heracles, symbolizing strength and rebirth.
“Our goal is to practice viticulture and winemaking to the extreme — acra — so that each wine can honestly express its grape variety and terroir.” — Spiros Papandreou, Oenologist & Co-founder

🍏 The Wines & Pairings
Kydonitsa
Fruity and aromatic, with notes of quince, pear, and white flowers — crisp acidity to balance rich or sweet-savory dishes.
Pairings: Bakaliaros (cod, egg cream & bottarga) | Formaella Kerithra (honey & goat cheese)
Assyrtiko
Structured, mineral, and lemony — textured with a saline finish.
Pairings: Octopus (fava & truffle oil) | Ceviche Sardela (marinated sardines)
Malbec Rosé
Ripe red fruit and gentle tannins — bright yet structured.
Pairings: Aubergine Saganaki (Glazed Japanese eggplants, gochujang tomato sauce, Gruyère and feta, sesame seeds) | Loukoumades (potato balls with gruyère)
Nemea (Agiorgitiko)
Velvety, with red fruit and spice — a true Nemea signature.
Pairings: Arni Stifado (lamb stew) | Loukanika (dry-aged sausages, “Kagiana” foam — scrambled eggs with tomato)
Including a vertical tasting of two different vintages of Assyrtiko and Nemea — a rare opportunity to explore how time and terroir shape each wine’s unique expression.
