A Muscat to broaden your horizons!
Muscat of Kefalonia PDO (established in 1971) is a region confined to the western part of the island and one of four Greek AOPs largely attributed to dessert wines made from the small white Muscat grape.
With this naturally sweet wine, the Petrakopoulos winery not only pays tribute to a historic grape variety associated with a long winemaking tradition, but also puts its elegant stamp on a misunderstood grape variety and style of wine.

Vinification
Severe pruning, late harvesting, and particularly careful sorting of healthy grapes. Additional sugar concentration is achieved through brief, indirect exposure of the grapes to the sun. Gentle pressing and natural drainage of the must. No clarifiers or filters are used during vinification and bottling in order to better preserve the authentic character of the grapes.
