Gold Zakynthino 2019

PETRAKOPOULOS WINES | CEPHALONIA

A rare wine from a much beloved variety produced from old, gobelet, unirrigated, organic vines. Hard work in the vineyard combined with minimal intervention in the winery ensures an incredibly expressive result. Unbeatable for its quality and strong ageing potential.

Decanter | WORLD WINE AWARDS 2021

Zakynthino is the name of the grape suggesting also an origin from the island of Zakynthos.

Andromachi’s Tasting Notes

The wine reflects the colour of gold. Its dense, mature bouquet brings fruity notes of bergamot, apricot compote and pear, as well as fresh mineral hints of almond and dried lavender. Powerful and creamy on the palate with moderate body and natural high acidity "Gold" fills the mouth with white, citrus fruits and herbs.
