Petrakopoulos winery is situated in the small picturesque village of Thiramona, on the south part of the island. Native Nikos Petrakopoulos, descending from the great Byzantine families of Melissinos and Solomos, continues a centuries-old family tradition of winemaking.
Aiming to put their personal imprint on the cultural development of Cephalonia, Nikos and Kiki Siameli, a skilful oenologist, handcraft unique, terroir wines. Their focus is on rare local varieties and old vines, planted on small, fragmented vineyards. With great respect of biodiversity in the vineyard and inspired by organic, biodynamic farming as well as minimal intervention, the winery attempts to capture the best expression of each variety in a bottle.
Petrakopoulos estate offers a wide range of high quality, limited edition wines to drink young or age in your cellars.
