Nassitis 2022

VASSALTIS VINEYARDS | SANTORINI

A never-ending-holiday in a glass! An enjoyable white wine with a unique aromatic bouquet and refreshing acidity. Made from the classy, mouth-watering Assyrtiko blended with the lesser-known white Santorini grapes, Aïdani and Athiri, which add a floral, tropical touch to create a perfectly balanced wine.

Nassitis means islander in the local dialect spoken by the Dorians who first inhabited the island of Santorini after the volcanic eruption, some 3600 years ago (∼1600 BCE).

Andromachi’s Tasting Notes

Pale lemon colour in the glass. Moderate intensity nose with honeysuckle and tropical fruits competing with a juicy attractive acidity and texture. Kumquat and pineapple meet apricot and peach in a great combination. High in acidity, with a sharp, savoury presence that verges on saltiness. Long-lasting tropical, freshly squeezed lemon and mineral aftertaste.
