The small-grained white Muscat grape is the oldest, noblest and most popular of the Muscat family. Greece is its most probable homeland as it has been traditionally grown on the island of Samos, Cephalonia, Rhodes and Patras for centuries, producing excellent dessert wines.

However, the top expression of the variety and one of the best in the world is to be found on the northern mountainous terraces of Samos. The aromas of the Samos Muscat wines are both rich and unique with a pronounced minerality.
