Kidonitsa 2021
ASLANIS FAMILY WINERY | NEA MICHANIONA
Here is the past, present and future of the Greek vineyard! A rare bottling of the forgotten “Kidonitsa” showing the tendency towards a rediscovery of the rising old varietal stars. The wine exhibits a refined character dominated by notes of ripe quince.
Kidonitsa is the Greek word for “little quince”, a perfectly appropriate name for a grape that resembles the aromas of this fruit.
Andromachi’s Tasting Notes
Intense, fruity nose with aromas of citrus, pear, ripe quince and white flowers. On the palate it is round, supple and textured. Wonderfully balanced flavour with a playful game between spiciness, acidity, alcohol and a fine touch of flintiness.
